witchblade pg 8-9 by ebas witchblade pg 8-9 by ebas
sorry i have been MIA lately...well all yr actually...i have a baby girl now and u can imagine..... i do have a facebook fan pg thats updated regularly...so if u need ur fix...pls go "like" the pg for updates..... my personal pg has reached its limit of 5k friends... so i cannot accept anymore. here's the link : [link]

to all u nay sayers..... im sure most of u dont know my artistic past..... especially the newer GO ASS nation. but here's proof that i have actual skill....i drew this when i was 27 for a topcow crossover with Virgin....a book called witchblade/devi.... this is a dbl pager of an establishing shot of India (i think)

now this is the type of thing most dynamic type artist hate drawing, cusue they l
ove action shots and muscles and shit.... myself included..ESPECIALLY buildings.....i hate drawing straight lines and anything that requires a ruler...i often mess up and have to erase that ruled line and redraw it!!! gah!!!

but when im in the middle of it all, im happy again, cause i get to create .... i made all this up.... there is no screen shot of this anywhere...i made up the windows the buildings the every thing...i like playing god with the pencil and makes my job more fun.

this was a tough one cause i needed to mix the old with the new and still make it look authentic. and still look like a major city would...which always seems to look kinda dirty and run down, but in reality...it has "character"

so writers like to "establish" shots by making us artist draw city shots by using two damn pgs to do so... well i hold the pencil and cut his shit in half!! i showed him!!! the scene called for witchblade seeing india for the first time and then getting into a car and driving off while he updates her on the case shes currently investigating.....and cows got in their way

i drew this in two days measuring 22x 34in....i know right...i use to draw fast once upon a time.

and to show GO ASS love..... i drew two cows asses!!

hope u dig

Aw man I am so glad to have discovered this, and your site. I had a copy of the pencils of the page that preceded this about ten years ago in a folder of my favourite panel to panel work, but no artist credit.

Wonderful work, sir!

THIS IS SOOO EPIC! I wish I could do BG like you!! You can say what you want, but you are great in creating environments. I still read over and over again your Witchblade/Wolverine story, I just love how you did it and Sara is gorgeous rendered your way. How I'd like to see you working on Witchblade again!

Excellent storytelling and flow. Those buildings alone are worth the price of admission.

This is extraordinary! I absolutely agree with your statement about the buildings. I have a problem with dynamic shading I love what you have done here but when I do it, it kind of gets all muddy. :-/ Great job now I want to find that comic!
